“I’ll try and keep this short. I met Brian in the fall of 2016. I had been diagnosed with arthritis in my spine at the age of 47 in 2005. By 2015, it had taken over my life. When my wife started taking boot camp classes instructed by Brian, she started prodding me to reach out to him. I did, and officially started my relationship with him in January of 2017. Within two years, I have achieved more than I ever imagined. Yes, I still have the daily pain of arthritis, but now I know how to manage it. I have never taken medication for it, with the exception of ibuprofen now and then. Brian has constantly tweaked my program by asking me how I feel and trying to pinpoint the problem muscle areas. “I reached out to Brian prior to beginning my spring rugby season. My conditioning had fallen by the way side during the holidays and my diet wasn’t great either. Brian designed a lifting and conditioning program for me that were well tailored to my needs, specific to the type of short rest intervals you experience as a rugby player. Over a four week training program, my compound lifts (push press, squats, Romanian deadlifts, high pulls, rows, and presses) all increased in strength while the lifting and weight volume increased through the duration of the program. Many of the exercises were performed as super sets (back to back with no rest) which increased the difficulty, but most importantly, improved my conditioning. Brian provided helpful instruction when I had questions about exercises which I was unfamiliar. After the completion of this program, my pre-season began and I felt ready and quite frankly it was the best I had felt coming into a season in a long time. Other than being prepared strength and conditioning-wise, I also lost a few pounds and about 4 inches in my waistline, without this program even being specifically tailored for weight loss.
